Choosing a fuel supplier for your business

A practical checklist for comparing commercial fuel suppliers: coverage, product fit, site access, scheduling and the quote process.

Buying Guide

Confirm the receiving address and product fit

Start with the exact delivery address and required fuel grades. A supplier's general territory does not tell you every service available at every property. Ask the supplier to review each receiving location and explain the delivery formats suitable for your quantity and site access.

Explain how your operation receives fuel

Share your tank capacity, access restrictions, unloading contact and receiving hours. If the delivery entrance differs from the public street address, include clear directions. For multiple sites, list each address and its requirements rather than treating them as one order.

Agree on how replenishment will be arranged

Ask how orders are placed, when a requested delivery is confirmed and whom to contact when your usage changes. If you need tank monitoring, discuss equipment suitability and how readings connect with the replenishment process. Do not assume an inquiry or a tank alert automatically reserves a delivery.

Compare the complete offer

Request comparable quotes for the same products, quantities and delivery assumptions. Ask about applicable charges and payment arrangements. Keep station branding, fuel cards and bulk delivery distinct when comparing offers; each addresses a different operational need. Navillus Petroleum can discuss these services with your team and confirm the next steps for your business.
